Color Play (ONE night only!)

Don’t miss the premiere of Color Play, a spirited performer & audience interactive dance and painting performance.

Come and witness a visual artist directing a dancer to use her body as her paint brush. Every body turn, footstep, and hip sway drives the development of the colorful 15' x 12' painting. Through key phrases and creative triggers, a unique visual story unfolds connecting the painter, dancer, and you, the audience. When it’s audience participation time, you can have a turn at directing the dance. Participation is encouraged but not required.

The finished painting will be divided up into about 45 2’x2’ sections, numbered, signed, dated, and sold off to patrons. (A $75 sponsorship guarantees you a section.) All proceeds will benefit the Moving Poets' 2018-19 main program 'We See Heaven Upside Down' in Charlotte - a continuously developing and migrating international arts and outreach project.

Tickets: $20 in advance and $25 at the door. Event includes: Performance, Art and Video Installations, Live Music, Silent Auction, Food, Cash Bar

Sponsorship tickets: $75 (includes admission and a 2'x2' section of the Color Play painting, numbered, dated and signed by the artists. If you participate in Color Play, you can sign it at home!
